We often get asked why we’re not in-network with Blue Cross or CommunityCare.

The truth is—it’s not by our choice.

Dr. Webb grew up in a working-class Oklahoma family, so he understands firsthand how hard it can be to access quality healthcare—and that’s why he’s always made it a priority to serve every patient, no matter their insurance or income.

Ever since Dr. Webb opened his clinic 20 years ago in Tulsa, he’s proudly served all Oklahomans regardless of their ability to pay or insurance.

He’s accepted all insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid—and is one of the very few doctors in Tulsa to consistently accept Medicaid without restrictions.

Very few doctors—and likely no spine surgeons—can say the same thing.

Blue Cross removed most interventional pain doctors from their network in 2018 and has declined to recredential us, despite Dr. Webb’s national-level expertise.

This plan is known for frequently denying coverage for essential treatments—even at the hospital level.

CommunityCare is owned by a large hospital system that closely controls referrals and care decisions through their employed physicians and facilities.

While they may claim to offer access to specialists, they do not have anyone with Dr. Webb’s level of experience treating spinal pain without surgery or narcotics—using standard, accepted medical procedures.

We still accept all insurance and are happy to treat patients with these plans—but because they won’t contract with us, we’re considered out-of-network.

What Can I Do If I Have BCBS or CommunityCare?

We know dealing with insurance in Oklahoma isn’t easy. That’s why Dr. Webb’s team goes the extra mile—fighting for pre-approvals, helping with paperwork, and walking you through the process so you’re not alone.

If your plan is limiting your care, we encourage you to talk to your HR department and ask them to either switch plans—or work to get Dr. Webb added in-network for your employer.

Patients can—and have—made change happen by asking for better coverage.

If you’d like help contacting your employer, we’re happy to assist.

In the meantime, we offer a variety of affordable cash-pay options to help patients get the care they need.

We see many patients with these insurances because Dr. Webb has been able to help when other specialists have not.

We also provide billing documentation that may help you seek reimbursement from your insurance.

At the end of the day, our mission stays the same: Freedom from pain—without pain pills or invasive surgery.
